Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), July 28 (IANS) Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders Ashok Singhal and Praveen Togadia Monday launched a scathing attack on Pakistan for facilitating “commerce of terrorism”. “It is high time that as a nation we stopped all links - commercial, political and diplomatic - with those nations who foment terrorism in India,” Singhal said.

“The diplomatic and commercial umbilical cords that accord international acceptance to rogue nations like Pakistan should be surrendered forthwith,” Togadia added.

The leaders of the right wing Hindu group were participating in a series of meetings here in Tamil Nadu to gather public support against terrorism.

Situated some 600 km southwest of state capital Chennai, this textile city witnessed serial blasts in 1998 that killed 46 people, including 10 women and an infant. One of the intended targets was the present Leader of Opposition, L.K Advani.

Over 150 people were found guilty and awarded multiple life sentences in August last year.
