SMOT B-school collaborates with Canadian Association

Hyderabad, May 28 (IANS) SMOT business school Wednesday announced collaboration with the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CAMC) to offer post-graduation management consulting degrees in finance, marketing, IT and human resources (HR). Under the initiative, faculties from CAMC will visit SMOT to offer 108 hours of class in most current topics in management.
“Consulting in finance, marketing, IT and HR. Consulting as specialization in MBA is a unique feature in SMOT, currently not offered as a career track option in any business school in India,” said Narasimhan, director of SMOT, at a news conference here.
The SMOT campus at Chennai is located in the vicinity of TIDEL Park with world class facilities and ambience. It has 50 students currently enrolled with the post graduate program and the strength of the faculty is 25. The business school’s campus in Hyderabad is also nearing completion.
“SMOT in a short span of time is achieving global recognition for its unique innovation in business school education methodology. It is attracting attention from leading management schools for possible alliance from other countries involving full academic and financial support,” he said.
SMOT has announced admissions for its 16-month course, a regular course starting in September 2008. The admissions are open to graduate students and for candidates managing their family business.
