S.K. Tripathi to be new RAW chief

Tripathi will take charge Dec 30 as the chief of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) on a two-year tenure, an official statement said Tuesday.”The appointments committee of the cabinet has approved K.C. Verma, secretary of RAW, cabinet secretariat, to superannuate Dec 30 and has approved the appointment of S.K. Tripathi as secretary of RAW on a two-year tenure,” said the statement by the ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions.
Verma offered to quit almost a month ahead of his term which was to end Jan 31, 2011.
