Sixty penalised for entering Games lane
October 7th, 2010 - 5:50 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 7 (IANS) The Delhi Traffic Police Thursday issued 60 challans to vehicles for violating the Commonwealth Games lane restrictions, police said.
“No notice has been issued and no vehicle has been impounded today,” said a senior police officer.
The Delhi Traffic Police enforced restrictions on the Games lane Sep 23 which will continue till Oct 16 — two days after the Commonwealth Games end.
The Games lane violators are imposed a fine of Rs.2.000. The traffic police Oct 4 crossed the 1,000-figure mark of challans against vehicles entering the restricted lane.
