Six-year-old drowns in open manhole
August 11th, 2010 - 1:28 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 10 (IANS) A six-year-old boy drowned in a 30-feet deep open manhole in southeast Delhi, police said Tuesday.
According to the police, Adil was playing near his home in Jamia Nagar area when the incident happened.
“While playing with his friends, he accidentally fell in the open manhole. Locals took the boy to a hospital where he was declared brought dead,” a police official said.
His father, Mohammed Raza, works in a sports goods shop.
