Six of a family die in accident
May 23rd, 2011 - 12:35 pm ICT by IANSBulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh), May 23 (IANS) Six members of a family, including two women, were killed when a speeding truck rammed into their car here Monday, police said.
The mishap took place in Shikarpur town, when the truck spun out of control and collided head-on with the Suzuki Ritz car.
“All the six people inside the car died on the spot following the collision. Those killed also include three men and a minor girl,” police inspector Anil Kumar told reporters in Bulandshahr, some 400-km from Lucknow.
The deceased were natives of Bulandshahr’s Jawan town and were returning from a marriage function, he said.
Police are yet to nab the driver of the truck, who managed to escape after the accident.
