Six killed in wall collapse
January 4th, 2011 - 11:57 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Jan 4 (IANS) Six people, including four children, were killed and three injured Tuesday when a brick kiln’s wall collapsed in Uttar Pradesh’s Ambedkar Nagar district, an official said.The incident took place in Pakri-Bhojpur village in Tanda sub-division of the district, about 170 km from here.
According to an official spokesman: “The victims were family members of labourers engaged in a brick kiln and were living under temporary tin-shed shelters erected along one of the kiln walls, that collapsed during the day.”
“Three persons injured in the incident were sent to the Ambedkar Nagar district hospital,” he said.
