Six killed in Maharashtra bus accident
April 12th, 2011 - 8:38 pm ICT by IANSSolapur (Maharashtra), April 12 (IANS) Six people were killed when a state transport bus rammed into a truck on the Solapur-Hyderabad road early Tuesday, police said.
“A state transport bus rammed into a truck going ahead of it as the truck stopped suddenly due to a tyre burst,” a police officer at the Solapur taluka police station told IANS.
Only two of the six victims have been identified so far. They are Ashappa Churlapuram, 29, and Kannashiri Kothukullu, 9.
“We are trying to identify the other victims. The post-mortem examination report might throw some light on them,” the police officer added.
