Six killed in Jharkhand road accident
January 14th, 2011 - 1:49 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Jan 14 (IANS) Six people were killed when a sports utility vehicle collided with a truck on the outskirts of Jharkhand’s steel city Jamshedpur Friday morning, police said.The accident took place around 9 a.m. near Nayagram village situated in Jamshedpur district, around 135 km from Ranchi.
Six of the eight people travelling in the Sumo SUV died on the spot. Two critically ill people have been admitted to the local hospital.
The driver of the truck has been arrested, police said.
