Six killed, eight injured in West Bengal accident
December 3rd, 2009 - 7:17 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Kolkata, Dec 3 (IANS) Six people were killed and eight injured when two mini-trucks collided in West Bengal’s Nadia district Thursday afternoon, police said.
According to Nadia district police control room, the accident occurred when a speeding truck hit another one coming from the opposite direction in Santipur, about 80 km from here.
Both the vehicles were badly damaged in the accident and six passengers died on the spot, police sources said.
The injured were taken to Santipur hospital and later shifted to Shaktinagar hospital as their condition deteriorated.
