Six killed as train rams into vehicle
March 9th, 2010 - 4:15 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, March 9 (IANS) At least six people were killed and 16 injured Tuesday when a train rammed into a tractor-trolley in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur district.
The Farrukhabad-Kanpur passenger train hit the vehicle, carrying about 25 people, at an unmanned crossing in Shivrajpur town, 80 km from here.
“Six people riding the tractor-trolley died on the spot. The injured are being treated in hospital where the condition of five is stated to be critical,” a police official told reporters.
