Six held for robbery, murder in Delhi
December 31st, 2009 - 9:18 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Dec 31 (IANS) Six men involved in over 20 cases relating to murder and robbing of city-based businessmen were arrested here, police said Thursday.
The six men identified as Shah Nawaz, Shahwaj Khan, Shahbaj Alam, Shah Ahmad Ali, Mohammad Akram and Salim — all residents of Bijnaur in Uttar Pradesh — were arrested in the national capital Wednesday.
“They were involved in over 20 heinous cases in Delhi, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand. The accused were also involved in the recent Sadar Bazar case in which an onlooker was shot dead when the gang opened indiscriminate firing,” said a senior police officer.
