Six get life in jail for double murder
September 28th, 2011 - 11:55 pm ICT by IANSKaushambhi (Uttar Pradesh), Sep 28 (IANS) A local court in this Uttar Pradesh district Wednesday sentenced six men to life imprisonment in a six-year-old double murder, police said.
Balwinder and Mrituanjay Singh were killed June 26, 2005 in the Bakshipar village over a land dispute by Lakhan Singh and his five relatives - all residents of the same village.
District Judge Deepak Raj awarded life imprisonment to Lakhan Singh and his five relatives, including Surendra, Satyendra, Narendra, Vinay and Horilal.
Kaushambhi is some 250 km from Lucknow.
