Six drown in Orissa after Holi
March 20th, 2011 - 11:14 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, March 20 (IANS) At least six youths were drowned Sunday in separate incidents in Orissa after celebrating Holi, police said.
Four boys aged around 17 years drowned in the Kharkhai river near Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district where they had gone to take a bath after the Holi celebrations.
One of them was studying in Class 10 in a local school. The others were college students, police officer B.B. Behera told IANS.
In a separate incident, a college student aged 17 drowned in a pond at Berhampur town in Ganjam district. Another college student aged 16 drowned in the Birupa river in Cuttack district, police said.
