Shobhit murder case: Reward money doubled
September 2nd, 2011 - 8:11 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 2 (IANS) The reward money for providing leads in the four-month old murder case of Shobhit Modi has been doubled to Rs.1 lakh, the Delhi Police said Friday.
The 20-year-old engineering student was killed in south Delhi around 10 p.m. May 5.
A cash reward of Rs.50,000 was announced May 23 to anyone providing leads to his assailants.
Modi, a second year Information Technology student at Manav Rachna University in Faridabad and an alumnus of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, was stabbed to death near Vasant Kunj’s C-block here.
Police have so far interrogated hundreds of people including his friends and girlfriend.
