Sheila Dikshit discharged from hospital
December 12th, 2011 - 6:39 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 12 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, who was admitted to a city hospital last week following high fever and viral infection, was discharged Monday, a close aide said.
“After six days of rest and the doctors now saying that her condition is stable, she was discharged from the hospital Monday,” the aide to Dikshit, 73, told IANS on condition of anonymity.
The chief minister was admitted to the Escorts Heart Institute at 5.30 p.m. Dec 6 with complaint of viral infection and dehydration accompanied by persistent high fever.
According to hospital chairman Ashok Seth, Dikshit was dehydrated but her temperature had normalised and her condition was stable the next day. But she was advised bed rest by doctors for complete recovery.
