Sharjah approves 2012 general budget
December 30th, 2011 - 11:23 pm ICT by IANSSharjah, Dec 30 (IANS/WAM) The emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has approved the general budget for 2012.
The budget, estimated at 11.6 billion dirhams (around $3 billion), was approved by Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, supreme council member and ruler of Sharjah.
Walid Al Sayegh, director general of the central finance department, said the budget was drawn up keeping in mind the welfare of citizens through development of infrastructure, social utilities, economy, education and culture.
