Seven Maoists held in Bihar ahead of I-Day
August 12th, 2011 - 11:29 am ICT by IANSPatna, Aug 12 (IANS) Seven Maoists, including two women, were arrested in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district early Friday — three days ahead of Independence Day.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the Special Task Force and district police raided a house in Nazirpur locality and arrested the guerrillas.
Police said they are active members of the Communist Party of India-Maoist and involved in several criminal cases.
Arms and ammunition was recovered from them.
“The arrested Maoists will be interrogated,” a police official said.
