Seven killed in Peru mudslide

Lima, Oct 5 (IANS) Seven people were killed and 30 injured when the bus in which they were travelling was swept away in a mudslide in the southern Peruvian province of Puno, Spain’s EFE reported Saturday.The bus was on its way to Corani town in Carabaya province, some 1,000 km from Lima, at the time of the accident in the Macusani district.

The bodies were taken to the San Martin de Porres Hospital in Macusani.

Currently, an investigation is underway into the incident.

No further details were immediately available.
