Seven killed in Pakistan blast (Lead)
March 8th, 2011 - 12:59 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, March 8 (IANS) At least seven people were killed in a blast in Pakistan’s eastern city of Faisalabad Tuesday morning, media reports said.
More than 17 people were injured in the explosion. The nature of the blast was, however, yet to be determined, Xinhua reported citing Urdu TV channel ARY.
Dawn News reported the explosion occurred near the army recruitment centre.
The blast also damaged nearby buildings.
Police cordoned off the area and rescue personnel were shifting the wounded to nearby hospitals.
