Seven killed in Chhattisgarh road accident
April 30th, 2010 - 10:15 pm ICT by IANSRaipur, April 30 (IANS) Seven people were killed and 15 others injured Friday when a private passenger bus collided head-on with a truck in Chhattisgarh, police said.
The accident took place at Tarpongi village on national highway 200, some 40 km from Raipur.
The over-crowded mini bus, on its way from Raipur to Mungeli, hit the truck head-on. Four people were killed on the spot and three succumbed to their injuries later, officials here at police headquarters told IANS.
The injured passengers were taken to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Government Hospital here. The condition of seven of them was said to be critical.
