Seven killed as truck turns turtle
March 28th, 2011 - 11:41 pm ICT by IANSGurgaon, March 28 (IANS) Seven people were killed and eight critically injured when a truck carrying gas cylinders lost control and fell on a maxi-cab in this suburb of the national capital, police said Monday.
“The truck lost its balance and hit the divider. Then it fell on a maxi cab coming from opposite side. The cab carrying 15 passengers was going to Gurgaon from Sohna,” said a police officer.
The incident took place at 8 a.m. in Sohna, he said.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where seven were declared brought dead. The bodies have been sent for an autopsy, he added.
