Seven bonded labourers rescued
August 21st, 2010 - 10:43 pm ICT by IANSRaipur, Aug 21 (IANS) Seven Chhattisgarh residents, including five women, kept as bonded labourers for a year in Uttar Pradesh were rescued and brought back home Saturday, police said.
The labourers were rescued from a brick-kiln in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh and were brought to Bilaspur.
“The labourers who belong to Masturi village in Bilaspur district were rescued after authorities in Chhattisgarh sought help of Gonda police,” a police official said.
