Sensex closes dull, broader markets too muted (Second Lead)

Mumbai, April 25 (IANS) A benchmark index for Indian equities markets closed flat Monday on a largely lacklustre trading day.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 19,538.52 points, closed at 19,560.2 points (provisional), down 42.3 points or 0.21 percent from its previous close at 19,602.23 points.
The 50-scrip S&P; CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed 0.33 percent lower at 5,865.4 points.
Broader markets too ended dull with the BSE midcap index closing 0.08 percent up and the BSE small cap index ending 0.21 percent higher.
