Senior government official commits suicide
October 9th, 2009 - 8:57 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Oct 9 (IANS) A 46-year-old senior government official Friday allegedly committed suicide by jumping from his sixth floor apartment in east Delhi, police said.
K. Venkatraman, who was additional secretary in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), had been suffering from depression.
He allegedly jumped from his sixth floor house of Mayur Vihar’s River View Apartments around 6.40 a.m when his wife was away. He was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead, a police officer said.
Venkatraman had been ill for some time.
