Senior citizen murdered in Gurgaon
February 1st, 2010 - 9:07 pm ICT by IANSGurgaon, Feb 1 (IANS) A 65-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her nephew in the posh Palam Vihar area of Gurgaon Monday.
The victim, identified as Sawitri Devi (65), was alone when her nephew came to meet her with his friends.
“Devi, wife of a retired superintendent engineer of the Delhi Jal Board, was stabbed to death by four persons. They had come with the intention to rob her. The neighbours saw them fleeing and caught them. When a police team reached there, the lady was lying in a pool of blood,” said a senior police officer.
All four accused have been arrested and a case of murder and robbery registered at the Palam Vihar police station.
