Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) Atmaram Deshpande told IANS that the terror alert was not Goa specific.
“It is a general alert for the west coast,” Deshpande said.

“We have intensified out marine and regular patrolling. Police reserves have been kept on alert,” he added.
On Thursday, Mumbai was on terror alert after security agencies said that four terrorists could have landed in the city to carry out terror strikes.
