Security forces, terrorists locked in gun battle (Lead)
August 4th, 2011 - 3:52 pm ICT by IANSSrinagar, Aug 4 (IANS) The gun fight between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district that started early Thursday has continued with militants shifting from one house to another, police said.
The firing happened in residential areas of Puchal village of Pulwama district in south Kashmir, 31 km from here, a senior police officer said.
“We have the entire area cordoned off. There is no chance for them to escape”, the officer said.
