September 25th, 2010 - 3:18 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, Sep 25 (IANS) Search operations have been launched to trace the Tata Steel engineer who has been missing from Orissa’s Jajpur district, police said Saturday.
Abdul Salim, 35, who works as a civil engineer with the company, went to the Tata Steel’s rehabilitation colony at the Gobarghati village Friday, leaving his vehicle in a nearby area.
“When he did not return after several hours, the vehicle driver reported the matter to his office,” Superintendent of Police D.S. Kuttey told IANS.
Search operations were launched after the company lodged a complaint with the local police.
“The company officials fear abduction, but we are yet to get any clue,” Kuttey said.
