Scientist’s wife goes missing from Noida home

Noida, Feb 22 (IANS) A senior scientist with the central government filed a complaint that his wife was missing from his home in Noida, the police said Sunday.
Shankar Das, 45, a scientist with the Ministry of Communications and IT at New Delhi, complained to the police that his wife Geetanjali Das, 42, went to a house in the sector-52 colony at 10.25 p.m. Saturday after cooking dinner. She did not return home and has been missing since.

Das registered a missing persons complaint at Sector-24 police station the same night. No apparent reason for the incident was cited.

The couple have been living at their sector-52 house for the past four years. Geetanjali was in her nightdress when she went missing, her husband said.

“All efforts are on to locate the woman on the basis of information provided by her husband,” an official at Sector-24 police station said.
