Schools strike call in Tamil Nadu gets no response
September 17th, 2010 - 4:39 pm ICT by IANSChennai, Sep 17 (IANS) The state-wide strike called by an association of nursery, primary, matriculation and higher secondary schools Friday to protest attack on a school has failed to evoke response, with schools remaining open.
The government had instructed the inspector of schools to ensure that all schools functioned normally.
The association has demanded arrest of the people involved in the attack on the Pochampalli School in Krishnagiri district in Tamil Nadu Sep 13.
Locals damaged the school after a student was run over by a school bus.
