Ramashankar, the Class 8 student of a government school in Chandrwak town of Jaunpur district, was Thursday beaten by Girija Prasad for shouting in class, police said.

The teacher is absconding.
“On the complaint given by the student’s family, we have initiated an inquiry,” added Pandey.
