SBI staffer held for graft

Agartala, Aug 2 (IANS) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a State Bank of India (SBI) employee and a middleman here for accepting bribe from a businessman, CBI sources said Tuesday.
“The SBI field officer had taken Rs.4,000 for sanctioning a loan to a businessman for purchasing a car. The bank employee and the middleman were arrested Monday,” a CBI official told IANS declining to be named.
The two were presented before a court, which sent them to judicial custody.
