Sausage, lamb chops, ice-cream on Obama-Cameron menu

London, May 26 (IANS) Two of the most powerful leaders in the world - Barack Obama and David Cameron - cooked a hearty meal of sausages, lamb chops and hamburgers at a garden party for Iraq and Afghan war veterans, a media report said.
“The menu reflected the strong trans-atlantic bond between the two countries,” the Daily Express reported.
There were British sausages, Kentish rosemary lamb chops and Jersey Royal potatoes with American hamburgers and corn on the cob. For dessert, there were summer berries and ice cream.
Obama and Cameron “took charge like husbands at any summer garden party”. They hogged the barbecue while their wives served up the salad, the report said.
The lunch was organised at No.10 Downing Street for 150 British and US veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
The first ladies, meanwhile, “smiled and chatted in the sunshine as they dished up coleslaw, tomato and mozzarella salad and Caesar salad”, the report said.
