Patna, June 25 (IANS) A sapling of the Bodh tree planted by the Tibetan leader the Dalai Lama here has wilted due to negligence.
The sapling was planted at the Buddha Smriti Park about a month ago. A security guard at the park told IANS that the sapling had wilted. A park official blamed it on the hot weather this year.
It is under the Bodh tree that the Lord Buddha attained enlightenment in Bodh Gaya about 2,500 years ago.
