Karachi, Oct 25 (IANS) A day after being sacked as Pakistan’s coach, Australian Geoff Lawson is considering taking legal action against the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over a payment row.According to television reports Saturday, Lawson, a former Test pacer, is in contact with the Australian high commission in Islamabad to discuss the possibility of suing the PCB.
The former coach has refused to leave Pakistan until he is paid all his dues by the PCB.
Lawson is to get a three-month severance pay after being sacked six months before the end of his two-year term by the PCB on Friday.
According to PCB sources, Lawson has taken his salary till December 2008 in advance and was handed a cheque for a 24-day salary.
However, Lawson believes the PCB owes him much more. A PCB official said the matter will be sorted amicably soon.
