brianNov. 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Brian Billick, who has coached the Baltimore Ravens NFL team till he got fired in the year 2007 might become the coach of the Notre Dame team, stated sources. Rumors of Billick’s new coaching venture came to the surface recently during the match between Auburn and Alabama. Spencer Tillman, reporter of the CBS Sports was the first person to raise this issue during the interval of the match.

Later it has also come to the news that Notre Dame officials who are linked with the selection process of the team has informed that Billick has been considered as one of the “strong and viable candidate for that opportunity”. If sources are to be believed and Billick becomes the coach of Notre Dame team then this would put an end to Charlie Weis’ career as Notre Dame coach.

According to the reports of the sources, anticipations have started that the match between Stanford and Notre Dame will be the last game of the team under Mr. Weis and he would be removed from his position within a short span of time. However, officials of the team have not confirmed anything on their decision of hiring Brian Billick or firing their present coach Charlie Weis. Sources stated that Mr. Weis is under a contract of ten years with the team and was hired in the year 2004. If he is removed from his job now, then Notre Dame will have to pay a lump sum amount of thirty-six million dollars. It is a huge sum, yet the management can agree to pay that for improving team’s performance.
