Rs.6.86 lakh looted from Jharkhand bank
February 22nd, 2011 - 8:11 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Feb 22 (IANS) Four armed criminals looted Rs.6.86 lakh from a bank in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district Tuesday, police said. According to police, the four, posing as customers, entered a branch of Union Bank and suddenly whipped out their weapons. They took the keys to the money chest from the cashier at gun-point. After taking the money, they fled on two motorcycles.
Police have launched operations to arrest the criminals.
West Singhbhum is about 140 km from Ranchi.
