‘Rocky The Musical’ to open in Germany next year

London, Nov 23 (IANS) Sylvester Stallone and heavyweight boxing brothers Vladimir and Vitali Klitschko have announced that the stage show “Rocky The Musical” will open in Germany next year.
The Oscar-winning 1976 boxing movie has been turned into a stage show in a joint production between Stallone and the Klitschko brothers.
The musical will premiere in Hamburg in November 2012 and the 65-year-old actor said he cannot wait to see on stage the story which he wrote, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“To see this story coming to life on a musical stage makes me proud,” said Stallone.
In 1977, “Rocky” won three Academy Awards and the film spawned five sequels.
