Robbers targeting people on two-wheelers held
March 30th, 2011 - 1:09 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 29 (IANS) Three men, who moved in a car and robbed people on two-wheelers by hitting them from behind with their vehicle, were arrested in the national capital, police said Tuesday.
“Vikram, 25, Shish Pal, 25 and Ravi, 20 were arrested from the Najafgarh area in west Delhi,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Anil Kumar Ojha said.
“During interrogation, they told police that they used a car and targeted people on two-wheelers,” Ojha added.
According to police, the gang robbed Samay Singh, 53, on Mudhela road March 18 when he was returning home from Gurgaon.
“They hit Singh from behind and beat him with ‘lathis’ (batons). Later, they pulled him inside the car and dumped him at a secluded place after robbing him,” Ojha said.
The car, two silver rings and a mobile phone were seized by the police.
