Robbers loot Rs.1 million
January 12th, 2012 - 10:13 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Raipur, Jan 12 (IANS) Two robbers snatched Rs.1 million from a man in the heart of Raipur Thursday, police said.
Additional Superintendent of Police Lal Umed Singh said the victim was Janardhan Mishra, a transport employee who withdrew the cash from the HDFC bank.
Two men who pursued him on a motorcycle hit Mishra, who too was on a motorcycle, and escaped with the money.
“It was a daring act as robbers executed it in the heart of the city,” the officer said. “Hopefully the accused will be tracked down soon.”
