Robbers kill soldier, relative
May 24th, 2012 - 4:05 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, May 24 (IANS) Armed robbers in Uttar Pradesh Thursday killed a soldier and a relative who resisted them after they barged into their house, police said.
The incident took place in Fatehpur, 120 km from here, when the soldier, Pramod Maurya, was asleep at the house in Radhanagar locality.
Police said the robbers looted the house around midnight Wednesday. When Maurya challenged them, the robbers shot him dead along with a 18-year-old relative. Sandeep.
The robbers fled with jewellery and Rs.30,000 in cash.
Two other young men, Amit and Lav Kush, were seriously injured in the attack.
Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar told IANS that the injured have been admitted to a hospital in critical condition.
