Refused Rs.5, boy commits suicide
July 25th, 2010 - 6:40 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, July 25 (IANS) A nine-year-old boy committed suicide here after his mother refused him Rs.5, police said Sunday.
Babusona Shaw, whose mother is a maid servant, took his life Saturday by hanging himself using a sari at their house in Behala area.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Subrata Ganguly said the boy’s mother Anjali had rebuked him for demanding the money. “The boy might have become sentimental and committed suicide,” he said.
