Red corner against 2 Pakistani armymen in 26/11 case
October 7th, 2010 - 8:49 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 7 (IANS) An Interpol red corner notice has been secured against two serving Pakistani Army officers and three LeT operatives accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case, National Investigation Agency (NIA) sources said Thursday. The red corner notice has been issued after securing a non-bailable warrant from the trial court here, the sources said.
Maj Sameer Ali and Maj Iqbal are the Pakistani Army officers against whom the notices have been issued. The notices have been issued against Illyas Kashmiri, a militant of the Lashkar-e-Taiba and two others - Sajid Majid and Syed Abdur Rehman Hashim.
Sources said the warrants were issued based on the disclosures made by Pakistani-American LeT operative David Headley, who was questioned by the NIA officials in a Chicago jail a few months ago.
Earlier, red corner notices were secured against LeT founder Hafeez Sayeed and his associate Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi in the case.
At least 166 people were killed and more than 200 injured in the Mumbai terror attacks on 26 Nov, 2008.
