Real estate agent shot dead in DelhiSeptember 13th, 2008 - 12:19 am ICT by IANS
New Delhi, Sep 12 (IANS) A 48-year-old real estate agent was Friday shot dead in northwest Delhi for reportedly objecting to his paramour’s daughter’s relations with a young man, the police said. Munna Singh, resident of Rohini, was shot in the chest and shoulder by a motorcycle-borne assailant, identified as Robin Sharma, 28, at around 8.30 a.m. Singh was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The police said Singh was married and had four children. But he was in a relationship with a divorced woman Renu Saini, 50, and would spend most of his time at her Sector-17 home in Rohini.
Both the families had no objection to the relationship. But Singh began objecting to Renu’s 25-year-old daughter Bhawna’s relations with Robin. He constantly discouraged Bhawna from meeting Robin and also stopped her from communicating with him.
“Renu’s son Chintan was an eyewitness to the shooting. We have registered a case and a search for Robin is on,” said a police official.
