June 12th, 2011 - 12:37 pm ICT by IANSDehradun, June 12 (IANS) Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s condition is now stable and he is being administered saline and glucose at regular intervals, doctors attending on him said here Sunday.
“Ramdev’s condition is stable. The protein level in the blood has reduced, causing physical weakness,” said Deepak Goel, neurologist in the team of doctors examining Ramdev.
The yoga guru was hospitalised in Dehradun after his health deteriorated Friday.
“The pulse rate has also come down. We are administering saline and glucose at regular intervals,” Goel said.
Sunday is the ninth day of Ramdev’s fast that began in New Delhi to protest against corruption in the country. Police forced him out of the capital within a day.
