Ramdev, ministers talk; token fast possible compromise
June 3rd, 2011 - 7:42 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 3 (IANS) Talks between union ministers Kapil Sibal and Subodh Kant Sahay with Baba Ramdev, over the yoga guru’s proposed fast against corruption, continued here Friday amid indications that a compromise formula is emerging.
According to sources, the compromise is to allow Ramdev to hold a token fast Saturday and the government giving an assurance to speed up action on bringing back black money stashed abroad by Indians.
“There are good chances of a compromise deal,” an activist associated with Ramdev’s movement told IANS around 6 p.m.
The talks are being held at Claridges Hotel from 2 p.m.
