Rajini rides to easy win in motorcycle championship

Chennai, June 4 (IANS) International racer Krishnan Rajini of team Moto-Rev India yet again demonstrated his supremacy by winning the Superbikes (600cc) race in the first round of the National Motorcycle racing championship here Saturday.

In the other premier class, the Group B (4-Stroke, 165cc Open), K. Jagan of TVS Racing topped in convincing style on the opening day of the two-day event.

The results (Provisional, all six laps):

Group B (4-Stroke, 165cc, Open): K. Jagan (TVS Racing) 1 (12 mins, 05.183secs); R. Deepak 2 (12:06.734); P. Karthick 3 (12:19.101).

Group D (4-Stroke, 165cc, Open): Shyam Shankar (Moto-Rev) 1 (13:15.277); D. Dinesh Kumar (Moto-Rev) 2 (13:17.200); K. Jagan (TVS Racing) 3 (13:21.847).

Novice: Madhan 1 (13:42.289); Arjun EB (Apex Racing) 2 (13:52.728); R Ramesh Kumar 3 (13:57.455).

130cc: J. Allwyn Jebaz 1 (14:41.132); S. Pratav 2 (14:48.303); Rajesh Rathna Kumar 3 (14:58.887).

Group A (Superbikes, 600cc): Krishnan Rajini (Moto-Rev) 1 (12:51.591); R. Deepak (Preethi Racing) 2 (12:54.920); S. Vivek Pillai (Preethi Racing) 3 (13:02.024).
