Rains in parts of Uttar Pradesh
April 26th, 2011 - 12:58 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, April 26 (IANS) While drizzle and a cool breeze heralded a pleasant Tuesday morning for residents here, light to moderate rains lashed several districts of Uttar Pradesh.
The minimum temperature in Lucknow, where 0.3 mm rainfall was recorded, was 20 degree Celsius — two degrees below average.
Bahraich and Gorakhpur districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh received 11.4 mm and 9.6 mm of rainfall, respectively.
“Showers and thunderstorms are being witnessed due to the upper air cyclonic circulation that has formed over parts of Uttar Pradesh,” state Met director J.P. Gupta said.
Such weather conditions were likely to prevail for the next 48 hours.
