The met department has predicted incessant rain in Tamil Nadu for the next two days.

Many parts of the state are waterlogged due to rain.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had underlined the need to eschew violence and end attacks on Tamil civilians in the war-torn island during a series of interactions with the Sri Lankan government. Minister for External Affairs Pranab Mukherjee is slated to visit Colombo to hold talks on the matter. The dates have not been finalised.
